I booked the apartment with an ensuite and all I had was a sink; it was a long walk up the stairs to the communal shower, so I ended up not having one. This needs to be addressed in the advert, as I was misled when booking.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless and I liked having a fridge and microwave. The lounge on the ground floor is really pleasant. However, some of the furnishings in the room looked a bit worn compared with the photos – the rug curls up at the corners, the curtains are slightly unhooked and hard to close. A constant bleep from a security panel in the hallway was very audible in my room. The real problem was the other guests: a young male party was slamming doors, talking loudly between rooms, and returning early in the morning. Because of the layout, the noise was much more noticeable than it would be in a typical hotel.

I think the place is good value, but only if you’re staying for a short time.

The location was perfect. I spoke with a lovely lady, possibly the owner, over the phone and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was really cosy and comfortable. Excellent.

Exactly what I needed. They were very accommodating with an early check‑in and the communication was great.
