Room 14 was huge and the linens smelled wonderful. The furniture, though older, was high‑quality and meant to last beyond a season. The strong sunlight made every piece fade, but after a day of cycling it felt great to dine at the in‑house SB Restaurant without needing to dress up or face the usual 4‑star hotel constraints. The food was tasty, the staff friendly, and language barriers were no issue thanks to their kindness. The breakfast matched the price; no buffet is understandable given rising minimum wage and labor shortages. The coffee was strong and good. We were allowed to use the parking longer and left after a walk, enjoying Domke’s fish soup from Bansin. I booked again in November. Just run, run, then eat fish at night and fall into fresh sheets after enjoying the stunning sea view from the room. The only downside was a figure in the stairwell that seemed significant but I didn’t want to see it in the dark. The shower drain or slope in the bathroom was too weak; please address this in the next renovation—it was quite challenging.
