Hotel Corso, Orvieto, is nestled in a beautifully renovated building in the heart of the old town, steps from medieval streets and monuments. The hotel features bright rooms with wooden ceiling beams, elegant décor, and some with balconies, plus a common terrace. Private parking and proximity to the funicular to the train station make it an ideal base.

I was disappointed with the hotel. I booked a room for two, 20 square meters. It showed a beautiful room. I received a room with stairs to the bathroom. I asked to change. They changed it to a small room with stairs to half a floor. It cannot be heated. Because of the ceiling height

The location is excellent,, convenient parking nearby, friendly welcoming staff, always someone on reception, lift to upper floors, generous and delicious breakfast selection. Fridge in the room made room very warm, and wasn’t particularly cold. Great location means noise from outside. Not good if this is something that bothers you. We didn’t mind

I'd give this place a solid 6 out of 10. On the upside, its positioning in the city is unbeatable - super convenient for commuting, with the train station just a stone's throw away. My accommodation was also immaculately maintained, and I appreciated the top-notch coffee. However, there were some downsides: the bedding let me down, literally, with pillows that were far too firm for my liking. The showering facilities, too, were a letdown - outdated and frustratingly complicated to operate. To top it off, the morning meal spread was somewhat lacking, with a scarcity of savoury choices that left me underwhelmed.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and there was a good breakfast. It was easy to walk to the main city sights. No problems that I can think of. The funicular wasn’t working but that’s not the hotel’s problem
