Lavender features guest rooms with flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Gas fireplaces and mini-refrigerators are also included. Evening turndown service with chocolates is also offered. Freshly baked cookies and free refreshments are provided daily at Lavender. Bicycles, books and games are available to borrow from the front desk. Concierge services are also featured. The Napa Valley Wine Train and the Napa Farmers Market are just a short drive from Lavender. The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone is close by.

The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the gentleman at the front desk—though I never caught his name—was very courteous and helped us with everything needed to make our stay comfortable; the amenities were fantastic.

It feels like a cozy retreat with a back garden and a nice wine hour; breakfast was simple but better than expected, with scrambled eggs one day and a breakfast burrito another; coffee and tea were available all day and night, bikes could be borrowed, and the air conditioning worked very well. The room never gets completely dark, the breakfast area can get very hot, and there are no curtains on the windows; the price is steep for what you get, though it matches other rates in Yountville.
