The place offered nothing for backpackers; there was no water, so I couldn’t drink coffee unless I paid 900 rp.

I spent four nights here and felt like I was staying at a modern hotel; the bed was good and the facilities were nice. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom was dirty. The check‑in and check‑out were handled by girls while I was there, and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all during my stay. A dirty towel stayed on the floor the whole time, and they never refilled the soap in the shower. The location was about 15 minutes by tuk‑tuk from the city center, and the price was cheap, so I thought it was worth it.

The floor I was on had a good view, yet I had already paid when the reception staff demanded extra money and wouldn’t accept my payment. After an hour they finally acknowledged it was valid. Two days later another receptionist came to my bed, woke me up early, and insisted I had to leave because I supposedly didn’t have a booking. I explained I had paid and re‑booked, but they forced me—still groggy—downstairs and kept me waiting for another hour. Even though I insisted I had paid, they refused to accept it, so I ended up paying again right there in front of them for another day. Worse, there wasn’t even drinking water available, and a Pakistani traveler harassed me inside the hostel and even followed me outside.

The location was fine, but the cleanliness was gross and unacceptable.
