The river view was stunning and the room felt spacious and spotless. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home. Honestly, I can’t think of anything that was off‑putting – it was all spot on.

Being right by the river was a nice perk and the bed was comfy, with the air‑conditioning doing its job. Unfortunately the place felt pretty empty, and the staff were distracted by a newborn, so service was a bit slow. We also dealt with a leaky sink that dripped into the room, and the water tank didn’t refill in time, leaving us without toilet water for a whole day.

I really enjoyed my time at this hostel – it isn’t on the beach, but the calm vibe and surrounding nature more than make up for it. Getting to the shore is easy, just a short ride, and the on‑site restaurant serves tasty fresh fish and solid steaks. The grounds are lush with green foliage, playful monkeys, and lots of birds, perfect for a hike, and the rates are hard to beat compared with nearby towns. The only downside is the beach distance, but you get plenty of nature instead.

The property is full of green areas and gorgeous natural scenery. The staff were attentive, and the food they served was absolutely delicious.

The site is perfectly placed right off the main Caribbean road, making it easy to reach by car or intercity bus. Breakfast and lunch were tasty, and the kitchen helpers made me feel at home, especially the host Delia who stayed on top of everything from booking to arrival. The surrounding green zones and the wide river give the place a magical feel, and a one‑hour eco‑walk takes you to Gavitas beach. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer – everything was excellent.
