“Huisjes mooi gelegen aan rand natuur”
I found it to be a beautiful spot at the end of a lively market street (the centre) and yet completely peaceful. Every cottage looks out over a little river toward the wild green… gorgeous. The cottage was fairly simple but well equipped. The couple and the young staff were very warm and friendly. The breakfast was simple but the shakes were delicious. It’s true that the cottages and accommodations could use some maintenance, but that didn’t bother me at all. The only drawback was that taxis couldn’t get there, so we had to go through the market street with our luggage… but it was doable.
The family is absolutely fantastic and caring, and their breakfasts are the best! The pool is great. Everything is old and needs renovation ASAP. The biggest issue for me was that hot water would flow for about 5 minutes and then only cold would come through.
The staff are very friendly and the location is nice at the end of a market. The cleanliness is a huge problem—very, very old and the pool is dirty.
The room is spacious, with a shower that has hot water and its own terrace outside, which is wonderful for relaxing—it feels like you’re in the jungle! After the bustle of Ubud, this is a great place to unwind. A dip in the pool and spotting squirrels and birds, even seeing lizards in the stream 😍. I don’t understand the reviews that say things are wrong or dirty; on Java or Sumatra this place would score a 9 or higher! It’s a 3‑minute walk to the city, and from here you can quickly head into the rice fields where there’s a good walking trail. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good with fresh fruit. It’s useful to know that taxis can’t reach the front door because the narrow street a little further out is car‑free (little shops). For us, that was a big advantage since there’s little traffic near the accommodation, but if you’re not very mobile, it’s a 3‑5 minute walk from the main road.
It’s not accessible by car, but that’s great because there’s very little traffic noise.
