Everything was amazing: the view was incredible, the room was beautifully decorated with the option to light the fireplace yourself, the mosquito net was more decorative since there are no mosquitos at that height, the bathtub was lovely and romantic, the plunge pool was great but a bit cold at our time, the infinity pool was also stunning, the entire staff was helpful and friendly, dinner was tasty, wine advice was useful, breakfast was lovingly prepared, and the young German manager was very friendly and communicative—overall a dream stay. The only downside is that the drive is a bit steep; the manager helps every car and guest up, so we had no issues.

The staff were friendly and the room offered a nice view, but there was no WiFi and no TV to watch the rugby.

The rooms are stunning, with a gorgeous view of the forest and river, and the big bath plus outdoor area feels super cozy. Breakfast was decent, and Precious really stood out with her friendly smile, humor, and excellent service. The bed was luxuriously comfortable, and we enjoyed the fireplace when the weather changed. On the downside, the food was awful—over‑spiced, over‑salted, and all the same flavor, nowhere near five‑star quality. The pool was dirty when we arrived, and over our three‑night stay we had to repeatedly request basic items like toilet paper, candles, and coffee. Also, if you have mobility issues, check beforehand because there are many uneven steps.

The location and view were great. Wi‑Fi was only in the lobby, not in the lodge, and 4G had little coverage because of the remote spot.
