I met a super sweet host who kept the vibe chill all the time. At night, I sat on two long chairs under the stars, watching clouds and hearing the mountains—nothing else mattered. Even though I hadn’t booked dinner, the host and a staff friend served us a delicious home‑cooked meal of just stir‑fried veggies and fried eggs—still tasty. In the morning, the same long chairs and a cup of coffee the host brewed made me feel like I didn’t want to leave. I’ll be in Hà Giang again soon and will definitely stay at Sa Mộc for as long as possible—so much love for the place! I haven’t found anything that makes me dislike Sa Mộc; maybe after a few months I’ll discover something, but not yet.

I stopped over here for a night and loved it. It sits on a mountain side with perfect views from outside the bungalow. The spot is ideal, right off the road and down a narrow trail. I’d stay longer if I weren’t on the loop. I slept in the private bungalow that had a big queen‑size bed, a private toilet, shower, and sink. The shower had hot water and the electric blanket kept the bed warm all night. Breakfast was included, dinner was a small extra fee, and both meals were very good. This is probably the most peaceful stay you’ll find; it’s quiet and beautiful.

The view is amazing and the food is good. The heated mattress is pleasant and necessary. Note that you can’t reach it by car. The cleanliness was poor; the toilets were not clean when we arrived. The bed smelled awful, like someone had slept in it before. The bathroom tap had a leak upon arrival.

The place is clean and the room is nice. The path down is a bit difficult to walk.

The accommodation felt like an adventure, authentically set up and beautifully decorated. It was very cold that night, but we had heating blankets and it was cozy warm. I’d come back!
