“Slecht voor dit bedrag”
It’s a nice spot and looks good at first glance, but we, two adults and two little dogs, paid 130 euros for a super small room with a partially slanted roof, no breakfast included. A double bed was in there and only one person could move around it. The price was not justified at all. It was unbelievably hot, and the gentleman blamed climate change. I think that’s a weak excuse for a tiny room. Sure, climate is changing and we’re in a heatwave, but basic measures like a mosquito net so you can open the windows at night and a large fan would have helped. Even when it’s just warm outside, that room was still too hot. What annoyed me most was the statement: “I put you in that room because it’s the coolest.” It’s nonsense that a small room under a slanted roof is the coolest. He didn’t even know us but seemed to think “other guests will get that warm big room?” The earlier guests had two large shepherd dogs, so they didn’t fit in that tiny room either. If the owner had simply said it wasn’t suitable, I could understand, but excuses like “climate” and “I gave you the coolest room” feel off. On top of everything, there were dust flakes under the bed—zoom in on the photo.
