The setting in the forest is nice, though not too far from town. The bedding feels a bit firm and the electricity is somewhat unreliable.

It’s a very pleasant, quiet, and clean place. The grounds and cabins are well maintained and fully equipped. The bathroom is large and spacious. The doors and windows have removable fly screens. There’s a kettle and coffee accessories. The cabins are spaced far apart, each with a small terrace and a bench. There’s a big communal terrace with a large table, chairs, and a microwave. It’s completely quiet, perfect for relaxing. A big lawn lets you enjoy the sun. Sangkhom is about 2 km away and reachable via a good road. Ask for the GPS coordinates when booking, and you’ll find it easily. The owner is very helpful. Most pictures on BC are wrong; the first one is correct. If you click the upper right corner of the room photos, you’ll see accurate images. Warning: at night tigers and elephants roam around the resort.

Being surrounded by forest is great, but being alone in the middle of the woods can feel a bit unsettling.

The accommodation is simple, clean, and close to the Mekong, but it’s right on a noisy street—only after 11 pm does it get quieter. It isn’t in Forest Park as the name might suggest; it’s actually in the town. The bungalows in the park still exist, but they’re not maintained (at least that’s my guess).

direkt on the Mekong river. view from the balcony. brand new and very clean. Hot shower, air con, fan, water boiler. Nice smal restaurant next door, small shop a few meter across the street. Wifi not yet
