“Potenziale alto ma da migliorare .”

The property is close to the centre while the rooms sit in a natural setting. However, the rooms are very spacious and all wooden, needing more upkeep, especially the bathrooms. The same maintenance issue appears on the walkways leading to the rooms – they’re slippery and badly worn in places, posing a danger. Some services, such as transport arrangements, are not very reliable. I ended up at the Laos border without the expected transport to Don Det.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the jungle from the restaurant was stunning. Nothing was lacking; every question about bus transport or activities was answered quickly and well.

The place was absolutely delightful. Walking in at tree‑top height, the restaurant and bar sit high among the forest. Food and drinks were excellent. The rooms were basic but clean, with ceiling fans and insect nets. Waking up to birds and insects was a pleasure. A big shout‑out to the young man who handled all our orders, arranged a day trip, and most importantly, tracked down a bag we left on the bus by coordinating with our previous hotel and the bus company. He retrieved it without any hassle – we’re very grateful. He speaks excellent English, which was a big plus. If you have mobility issues such as arthritic knees, the walkways and stairs to the rooms might be a bit tough.

The location is excellent, with a lovely garden visible from the private balcony. The staff were always helpful. W

The bungalows are very nice, set in an orchard and well decorated. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, and a bus ticket for the onward journey was arranged for us. It’s a shame we only stayed one night.
