Very nice, plenty of breakfast. The spot was within walking distance of Centraal train station, and trams were available if you wanted to visit the museum district. It was scorching hot in Amsterdam, and the property had no air conditioning. Esther gave me fans, but sleeping was very uncomfortable.

I loved how quiet the spot was, being near a residential area of apartments, yet close to the main sights. The host was responsive and accommodating. The room was the right size for 1–2 people, with a nice table to eat or work and a small kitchenette that had a separate sink, mini‑fridge, and water boiler. I appreciated the air filter inside the room. The grocery store, cafés, and restaurants were only a 3–5 minute walk away, and the Rembrandt museum was nearby. The shower’s hand‑held pressure was a little weak.

I stayed in a spacious, tidy, and comfortable room with a good bed that let me sleep well, and the shower was nice. The staff were friendly and the breakfast on the room was well taken care of. The location, however, wasn’t my favorite – it’s far from the lively part of town, in a quiet neighbourhood that lacks charm.

This place isn’t a traditional hotel; it’s basically a handful of rooms attached to an actual school of arts and crafts, and the rooms don’t even have numbers – each comes with a single key. My room felt more like a studio apartment, huge, with a sauna in the bathroom, a kitchenette, and stylish cloud‑like artistic light fixtures. The window was enormous and the ceilings were 10 feet tall. We were on the ground floor, and both the street and the hallway were very quiet. The sauna was a bit tricky to use and didn’t keep the temperature steady. The room felt hot because there were no windows to vent cool evening air. The location is very quiet but at least ten minutes away from the central parts of Amsterdam you’d want to visit, and a full 20 minutes walk to the train station, so for a one‑night stay I’d suggest something more centrally located.
