It was cheap. The wallpaper was peeling and some walls were blackened with mold; the room reeked of mildew and was unbearable. After an hour of trying to tolerate it, I asked for a change and was moved to a room two doors away, which was only marginally less moldy.

Overall, it was a solid mid‑range stay. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, just enough to get going. The room was comfortable and I slept very well, especially thanks to the ReFa shower head and hair dryer. Nothing flashy on paper, but it was surprisingly good where it mattered.

The amenities were fairly complete, making it easy to stay without bringing much, the subway station right next door made getting around simple, the duvet felt like a feather‑down comforter, and the boiled eggs were tasty. The room lacked a drink holder, so we had to ask the front desk to bring one, and the bathtub taps were set a bit high.
