The property offers tatami-floored rooms with futon bedding and Western-style rooms with air conditioning and flat-screen TVs. A 24-hour front desk, garden, and Shinano restaurant serving delicately prepared Japanese meals are available. Matsumoto Castle and transportation to Takayama, Yudanaka Shibu Onsen, and Kamikochi are nearby.

I arrived late and didn’t get to explore the hotel fully, yet the staff were very friendly even though they didn’t speak English; they used an app to translate, the place feels calm and authentic, and the bus stop is just a 5‑minute walk away, which is very convenient.

The staff were warm and welcoming in a home‑like way, and I’d like to stay again; it would be nice if I could have coffee in my room.

The toilet was too old and too cramped.

I loved the quiet vibe and the onsen, and the staff were amazing! Nothing else to complain about.
