The staff were super friendly and helpful, giving good tips and making us feel welcome, but there was no air conditioning as described – only a single fan for three rooms, which we only had on the second night. Our room had no window, making it very hot and stuffy. We even found a cockroach in the bathroom and suspected bedbugs, waking up the next day with many red spots.

“Per il prezzo va bene”

Breakfast was good and plentiful, the girl running the place was very kind, the price was great and the area was nice, close to the Medina alleys and many bars and restaurants as well as the Blue Gate. The cleanliness was average, it was a bit hard to find the place the first time, and the room was poorly maintained with a broken wardrobe.

The location was good, the cleanliness and bedding were fine, and breakfast was included. It lacks a terrace, but there is a smoking lounge.

“J’ai cherché un autre hébergement”

The dormitory and its adjoining bathroom looked very clean, but I switched rooms as soon as I arrived because the hostel was hard to locate, the phone number listed on Google was unassigned, and the number on the booking site directed me to someone not working there. The staff on site were friendly yet spoke no English, which is a problem for a youth hostel. I eventually spoke to the person I thought was the manager on the phone, who immediately asked me to pay again even though I had already settled the bill. There was only one outlet for the entire dorm, the humidity was very high, and a cute kitten (yes, it was adorable) wandered into the rooms. The dorms had no ventilation, contrary to what was advertised, and a minor was the only person who helped me with my luggage.
