The staff were overly friendly, but the pool had no depth markings and it almost felt like I was drowning.

The pool was a dream, and the staff were very friendly and eager to make guests happy. The restaurant food is excellent with a wide selection. We received an upgrade after one night. Thanks again to Tina at the reception. The hotel looks a bit dated, especially the small bungalows mainly meant for families, which feel a bit plain for the price.

The Marala Hotel sits slightly above the main road, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful vegetation, offering a lovely sea view. Having a car is essential to reach the beach, nearby restaurants, a pharmacy, shopping, etc. We stayed in two beautiful double rooms for ourselves and our teenagers, choosing garden‑side rooms that overlook the greenery based on other travelers’ comments. In hindsight, we were very happy with this choice because traffic noise from the main road was noticeable, and the restaurant and pool area could be heard at times; the garden‑side rooms were therefore definitely more pleasant. We booked with breakfast and were very satisfied—the breakfast was delicious and generous. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who always made a great effort to assist us and were very attentive throughout our stay. We felt very comfortable at the Marala Hotel and would definitely recommend it; if we travel through the area again, we would be happy to stay here again. Overall, everything was satisfactory.

The view is beautiful and the pool overlooks the sea. The air conditioning isn’t well maintained and didn’t cool properly.
