I liked how many tourist spots were nearby. However, there is no convenience store in the vicinity.

“Lovely stay to be close to National Park”

The spot is ideal for quick access to national parks for hiking. Our room was huge, with a comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, a clean bathroom and shower. Fresh towels were provided daily along with bottled water. The owner helped us book a taxi and gave us a free guide of the area. We’d stay again if we’re hiking around. The air‑con unit lacked a controller. The hotel feels a bit dated, but our room was lovely, clean, and honestly one of the nicest we’ve had in all of Korea. It might feel a little intimidating for a solo traveler, as we were the only guests in the entire hotel. A small convenience store is nearby but not much, so it’s better to bring supplies from town.

“곡성 기차마을 남원 지리산여행”

We stayed for a family trip and it took about 10 minutes to walk to the city center with its wide lanes. The owner was extremely friendly and especially helpful with directions to the start of the Jirisan Trail, which was close by. They also mentioned that the bathroom had been remodeled recently, so it was neat and the kids slept well. We’re leaving with many memories of Jirisan. The only downside is that there’s no 24‑hour convenience store nearby, so it’s advisable to buy groceries in town before heading out.

The location is good. Everything else, except the elevator, is outdated.

The hotel owner is a very nice person. No issues.
