“アットホーム”
Traveling around Egypt for a week, this hotel remains one of the most memorable places I stayed. From there we cycled to the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple, the Valley of the Queens and the colossal statue of Memnon, all within about a half‑hour even to the farthest site. The staff accommodated every request—adjusting breakfast and checkout times, pointing out nearby attractions, and handling all room‑amenity asks. Because they shifted the breakfast and checkout schedule, we could head straight to the Valley of the Kings as soon as it opened, which turned into a highlight. The building shows some age, but the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable compared with pricier hotels; the shower heated instantly and the water pressure was fine. The restaurant, shops, laundry and bike‑rental they recommended seemed to be popular with locals, offering good quality at fair prices. Throughout the stay we never encountered the pushy touts or price gouging common elsewhere, and the warmth of the staff and locals made the experience relaxing. If I ever return to Luxor and explore the west bank of the Nile, I’ll definitely book here again.
