“Unexpectedly wonderful and tranquil stay!”
We found this place to be a real gem, rarely do we encounter a stay where everything is so fantastic! We were initially worried about feeling “isolated” in this small village, but those worries vanished quickly. First, Helena is one of the best hosts we’ve ever had! Casa do Regedor was spacious, extremely clean, charming, and among the best-equipped places we’ve stayed in both Europe and the US. The locals are lovely and gracious, especially if you greet them politely with a “bom dia” or “boa tarde.” There’s a nice municipal pool (with a café, of course) just a short walk across town. This is a charming and tranquil spot to explore northeastern Portugal, and don’t miss the terrace on the second floor for a morning coffee or evening drink. There was nothing negative; it was simply fantastic!
