The lobby is very appealing, the breakfast is good and plentiful, and the beds are comfortable though a bit narrow. The curtains in the room allow for good blackout. Inside, there’s a minibar and a capsule coffee machine. The staff are friendly. We especially liked being able to refill coffee and water in the lobby around the clock for free. The on‑site cocktail bar offers a solid selection. The spot is superb; a few minutes’ walk brings you into the city centre or the zoo, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The downside is that the paid parking spaces in the underground lot are cramped. The room windows aren’t sound‑proof, so the trams and traffic outside are audible all the time. The cocktail bar stays open into the night and has heavy furniture, so on the first floor you constantly hear chairs and tables creaking. The carpet in the room is old and dirty, giving an unhygienic vibe. The air‑conditioner required a staff briefing because it isn’t self‑explanatory and there’s no manual in the room. The TV supposedly can be controlled by an in‑room tablet, but that didn’t work; fortunately a standard remote was still available. We had to fix the shower partition ourselves because the doors no longer ran on the rails. The bathroom is very outdated, with heavy mineral build‑up in all corners, especially on the marble sinks.

The location is very central with direct public transport links. Parking was free. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone, a complimentary welcome drink, and an excellent hotel bar. The only downside was the noise from the train tracks right next to the hotel.

Front office was absolutely great - we were very warmly and professionally welcomed and guided to everything we needed - excellent first impression and it continued throughout our stay
