“great place if you want to hike and its not very touristic very pretty”
The hotel sits in Maskeliya, a tiny village between two lakes, and our rooms faced the lake and Adam’s Peak, offering a stunning view day and night. A half‑hour drive gets you to Adam’s Peak for a climb or the nearby cafés, and the same time takes you to Gartmore Falls, both lower and upper. The rooms were spacious, modern, and the beds and showers were very comfortable with hot water. Coffee, tea, and water were provided. The only downside was the limited food options in the village; we ate breakfast at the hotel, which was great, and in the evening the on‑site restaurant cooked everything fresh, grew its own vegetables, and although it took a while, the food was excellent. The area is ideal for hiking in nature, though the routes are less known, and most tourist attractions are around Casterleigh Reservoir and its resorts, which are much pricier.
