“Für eine Übernachtung zu teuer.”
The hotel sits on the town square. The room was not clean, the nightstand was broken, breakfast ran from 7.30 to 9 am, and the reception was unoccupied.
“Posti hotell on meeldejääv kogemus.”
The hotel in Braunau am Inn’s old town offers an exceptionally interesting selection for those who want to stay right in the historic center. Everything is in place and easily reachable. The building feels very old, and its history permeates every corner. The staff is surprisingly impressive. I recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine experience in Braunau’s heart. It’s not for the faint of heart or the picky tourist; if you come, stay the whole time. We still have smiles on our faces, and it’s a memorable experience. All aspects were an experience.
“Es hätte viel Potential nach oben ;)”
The location on the main square is very good, which is the only positive thing. The place is really just a bed‑and‑breakfast, and for what it offers it’s overpriced. The breakfast isn’t enticing; if it had been, the price would have made sense. Everything felt rather bleak, although the shower worked. It’s suitable for a one‑night stop on a longer trip, but the area isn’t worth staying longer unless you’re into hiking or cycling. Finding a normal Austrian restaurant on foot in Braunau is hard; either it’s gone, or it felt like a makeshift solution. Luckily there’s a decent Asian restaurant, and an Italian place made a good impression. Bottom line: Braunau may have once been a pretty nice town, but not much remains. The gastronomy has been forgotten; it should be promoted if the city wants any tourism beyond hiking or cycling, which might be enough for the town.

“Leider durchgefallen, personal nett, aber die Ausstattung leider nicht zu empfehlen”
Unfortunately… the room equipment was disappointing, and the breakfast was lacking.
