This was our first stay in South America and the choice was great! The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is great for travel to Mitad del Mundo and the Historic center, and they made for a very nice and smooth landing for us. Everything was good

Very friendly, warm, and helpful staff; good breakfast in a pleasant family atmosphere; comfortable bed. From the outside it is not obvious that it is a hotel; there is no sign (not even a small one) indicating Casa de la Nonna. Calling the provided phone number was not answered, so we initially stood on the street with our luggage a bit confused and then had to ask around. This could be a problem for people traveling to Quito for the first time or without Spanish skills, and should be mentioned beforehand. Unfortunately, there is also continuous traffic noise in the area that almost unfiltered enters the rooms.
