How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was a highlight. However, there was no room service, we ran out of towels, and there weren’t enough toilet rolls. Breakfast was confusing, with many “extras” that had to be paid for even though we had already paid for it.

The room was lovely, spacious, and offered a wonderful view. It’s very centrally located, quiet, and clean. I’d recommend it.

The hotel sits right on the quay at Appledore, and parking outside is easy. The room is small but very well organized and comes with a proper coffee machine. It felt a bit impersonal – there was no one to meet us at the front desk, and if we’d wanted breakfast we’d have had to walk to the main hotel, which is a fair distance away. The price felt high, especially since we only had a bed (no breakfast, we had to bring our own). The “parent” hotel, the Royal George, served excellent fish and chips, but again it was pricey. Staff members Murray and Alice were quick, patient, and helpful.
