How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
We liked the quiet cul‑de‑sac spot, just a 1km walk from Sanur beach, and the outdoor areas around the Villa plus the good quality pool. The staff were very friendly, especially the cleaning crew. The big downside for us regular Bali visitors was the poor bedding – the mattresses in all four rooms were awful. Some paint was peeling and the shower pressure was weak.

The place was so calm and private, and we enjoyed the private pool as well. The kitchen/dining area was great for our group to gather and look over the pool. The lounge area was also nice. We all liked our bedrooms. The cleaning staff and garden/pool attendants were discreet and polite, and no request seemed too much. The only gripe was that a top sheet would have been handy for when you want to be covered but not with a duvet. Also, my room lacked a fan, though every bedroom had an air conditioner. I moved a pedestal fan from the lounge to my room; in hindsight I should’ve asked the responsive villa manager, but I didn’t think of it then.

The space was really nice for a group, and the alfresco dining area was wonderful. The Wi‑Fi was available, but most normal websites we wanted to use were blocked – it seemed the owners had blocked sites like The Age or our work portals, so we couldn’t check work emails. We haven’t had this problem at any other Bali stay; it’s probably a router setting. It was frustrating and forced us to use other internet access, so if reliable internet is a priority you might want to choose elsewhere.

The location was sensational. The villa was very clean and comfortable. Katak was beautiful and made us breakfast for my birthday. Each room has its own bathroom. The pool was fantastic. I couldn’t fault anything; highly recommend.

The pool was great and everything else was fine. It just needs a little TLC, but that didn’t affect our stay.
