The gardens are beautiful, the bungalows excellent, and the views over the lake are exquisite. Breakfast and evening food were great. Nothing really to complain about; it’s hard to reach, but that’s part of the charm.

We only stayed on a weekday, so we were the sole guests, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. The location is extraordinary for this region, and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and dinner. The swimming pool wasn’t the cleanest, and it got really dark at night, making the walk to the restaurant feel a little scary, so we ordered from service instead, which was wonderful. Being so close to nature has its problems: a couple of peacocks kept disturbing us at night with noise.
