“The staff are what make ihamba so exceptional”
Daniel and Christine’s service will stay in my memory forever; they were professional and calm. The chef truly outdid himself, making it the best time ever! Nothing to complain about.

The establishment is peaceful with a stunning lake view, and you can spot hippos—or even elephants at night—just five meters from your terrace. The pool is very pleasant.

The food was outstanding at both dinner and breakfast, and the staff were very attentive. The cottage was spacious, reasonably clean, and the bed was large and comfortable, making for a peaceful stay where you could even hear hippos at night. However, we had booked because the hotel advertised a pool, but it was dirty and unusable; the filtration system was off and the sunbeds and umbrellas looked worn. There were also no tea or coffee facilities in the room as the description promised, and the cottages and gardens seemed run down and in need of a freshening up.

The service was extremely courteous, with pre-arrival contact. The location is superb, right on the lake. The G room was generously equipped, and both dinner and breakfast were very good.

The food quality and quantity were impressive. The mattresses were very hard, and there was no hot water.
