“Zdecydowanie nie polecam – zmiana obiektu bez naszej zgody i brak pomocy”
We booked Relais Vatican Secret from 6–11 August 2026 mainly for its standard and amenities. Upon arrival we were moved to a completely different property, Vatican Nausicaa, without our consent. The replacement hotel was clearly lower quality. The room’s air conditioning failed, the temperature rose to about 37 °C, and the air was stale with an unpleasant odor; at that outdoor temperature it was hard to rest or continue the stay safely. The worst part was the service—no one responded to our complaints. Despite trying to reach the owner, we received no effective help or a suitable solution, and no alternative accommodation matching our original booking was offered. Consequently, on 7 August around 11:30 we had to leave the property, luggage in hand, exposed to the full sun and 37 °C. We couldn’t even wait in a shaded spot outside the building. Because of this, we had to cut our holiday short, return to Poland four days early, and incur extra costs for an earlier flight, transport, and unused paid services and attractions. The fact that none of this was our fault is especially disappointing. We arrived as booked, yet received different accommodation without consent and were then left without real assistance. I definitely would not recommend this place; the way guests were treated, the lack of communication, and the failure to address a serious accommodation issue are completely unacceptable.
