The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, chatting brightly and making me feel close right away, and even during the Golden Week the rates stayed very reasonable, so overall I was satisfied. However, I had an unpleasant experience with another guest who used the restroom in a terrible way; with so many foreign tourists it might be a cultural clash, but it was still uncomfortable.

I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it. The team is outstanding and enthusiastic, offering a free shuttle to the snow monkey viewing spot and also catching us to the station. The rooms are huge, beautiful, and the windows overlook a stunning tree view. There’s a separate hot spring for men and women, open from midnight, with both indoor and outdoor options. You definitely have to stay here if you get the chance.

The Fuji view from the room is amazing and the futons are very comfortable. I was surprised to find out the bathroom was shared; when I booked I thought it said “private bathroom,” but the listing changed after I arrived. The toilets were clean, though, and the showers only run from 6 am to 10 pm, so I couldn’t shower late. If you forget, towels and toothbrushes aren’t included, but you can rent towels for ¥200 each, which isn’t a big deal. Reaching out for help was difficult—multiple messages went unanswered. Despite everything, the stay was decent.

They let us wear kimonos in the room, giving it a very Japanese vibe. The room was quite spacious and had a microwave and hot water. The showers lack a divider and only allow you to shower from 6 pm to 10 pm. It’s impossible to communicate in English.
