Located in central Mossel Bay, Aquamarine Guest House is a 900-meter walk from Santos Beach. The place is pleasant. We were given permission to leave groceries in the room fridge to pick them up after a hike, to save time before a long trip. At check‑out we left the groceries, but when we returned we found several items missing (two steaks, sausages, salami and cheese), while other items had been returned. When we asked for an explanation, they showed us an empty fridge and questioned whether the purchased food even existed. The situation was unacceptable, especially since we were the only guests, making it easy to suspect the staff. Ironically, the pre‑arranged grocery plan, authorized by the hotel, cost us more time than buying after the hike. In short, the hotel is nice but the staff proved unreliable and unprofessional. We would not choose it again, even for the poor value for money we experienced in South Africa. A very negative experience that ruined the overall impression of the stay.

The view of the bay is spectacular. Free access to restaurants and a free shuttle. A peaceful and enchanting setting. Everything was impeccable.
