“Very basic and disappointing for a four-star hotel”

If you’re heading to Srebrenica, look elsewhere. We didn’t feel welcomed and the four‑star claim seemed overblown. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, and the whole vibe was basic. Breakfast was oddly organized: you have to request it and then you’re handed a tray with two bread rolls, a boiled egg, some salad with olives, ham and other spreads. They say it cuts waste, but as a vegetarian the ham was pointless and likely wasted. A standard buffet would let us pick what we want. For a four‑star hotel we expected a proper buffet, not a forced tray. The room itself was plain: blinds didn’t block daylight, the bed creaked, and the shower was tiny and cramped. Nothing was disastrous, but nothing was great either—just a very basic stay with little hospitality, leaving no strong impression. Given Srebrenica’s significance and the many visitors, we’d choose another hotel next time.

The proximity to the Srebrenica Memorial, the cleanliness, the comfort…everything was perfect.

Location is top, both front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good. All praise.
