The worst host I’ve ever had. An Indian who keeps insisting he wants to help you with your bag and other things, which is very annoying. I don’t recommend it, and there’s no hot shower.

The spot is in the heart of the city, fairly clean, and very quiet. It’s not a hostel for socialising, but it’s fine for a few nights’ layover.

Every single thing was great, especially the owner who has a big heart.

The place is close to a large shopping mall, good cafés, the beach, and a lively street, and the air‑conditioners in the apartments work well. The street noise at night kept us from sleeping; the kitchen was under renovation with no sockets, but we didn’t need it because we ate well at cafés. We had to keep the curtains at the entrance open all the time because the doors are glass and transparent. The apartments have no windows and artificial lighting, but we only slept there, so that wasn’t a problem.

Very central to Bangla Road, which was really great, and it wasn’t far from Patong Beach. The room didn’t work out, so we had to move into our balcony room the next day.
