The location and the exterior of the house were fine. Two single beds had been pushed together, causing them to slip apart. The bathroom was very small and there was no staff member available as a point of contact.

The character and location were great, but the bed pillows could be slightly better.

The tech setup was solid and the key code worked, and the location in Grünberg was great, but walking into the building meant passing through a Greek restaurant where the chef, a gruff and temperamental man, yelled at my 83‑year‑old mother for accidentally leaving a bright dust trail on her walker in the lobby, which felt more like bad manners than temperament; the path between the two half‑timber houses could have been cleaner, especially the kitchen ventilation windows.

The hotel sits right in the middle of the old town, which was quiet and convenient, but the room felt cool and the heating wasn’t working yet.
