“Private Wohnung mit Einliegerzimmer und eigenem, schönem Bad, guter Lage.”

A knowledgeable host who thoroughly explained the apartment and Wettingen; the data and facts provided beforehand made orientation and the stay in Wettingen much easier. The location close to buses and the train station was very good for me as a car‑free traveler, but it was hot, which the host couldn’t do anything about.

I’ve lived in Wettingen for 30 years, I’ve known Switzerland since I was born, and the public transport connections linking the city and other tourist attractions are naturally excellent. The fact that the room is integrated with the owner’s apartment and the price of 120 fr. per night without breakfast is above the competition, still great for a single person, a bit small for a couple.

“Huippusiistit huone ja kylpyhuone hyvällä sijainnilla, ystävällinen ja avulias vuokraisäntä. Kiitos!”

The room and the bathroom I used were extremely clean and furnished with authentic wooden furniture; the night lamp was bright enough for reading in bed and there was plenty of storage. The host gave useful tips about breakfast options and local sights, and the bus stop was a short walk away with a fairly frequent schedule. On the departure day I could leave my luggage in the lobby for later pickup, showing flexibility. The only complaint is that a small TV in the room would have made following the news easier, as I had no TV or tablet on the trip. Another thing I missed was a small cool storage space for my morning yogurt; keeping it in the fridge or on the windowsill kept it cool for over a night in the room’s warm air, but it was a pity to have to go elsewhere for breakfast.

“Verschrikkelijk, je kon nergens zitten behalve op bed.”

I barely enjoyed anything. On the first day we arrived late and after seven o’clock you’re no longer allowed inside, so we spent the first night at a different decent hotel. Nobody mentioned that the bathroom and room were in a different house. That gentleman couldn’t enter your room but could use the bathroom. The bathroom can’t be locked; you have to go through the owner’s space to reach it. The bed was far too low for me to get in and out on my own. The man did explain that this isn’t a hotel, but the price is still high. For 130,00 per night you really expect more. The room was small, with only one chair, a bed and a desk. We were told at 11 that we couldn’t check in after 19.00. Two hours is really too little time to check in. That’s no longer the case now that we have key boxes and doors that open with codes.

“Kann man nur weiterempfehlen”

The room was perfect, very comfortable, and we were greeted warmly.
