Short walk to local shops and restaurants. Proper Sri Lanka food and bustle nearby. Good for learning to surf. Less touristy. Beach wide but not clean and buzzy like Ahangama or Mirissa. Road between hotels / shops and beach

Golden Bay was the perfect spot for our week-long getaway. It's just a two-minute stroll to the beach, and the hotel's air-conditioned rooms were spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed every meal at the on-site restaurant, which served up delicious and varied dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us out, even sorting out a tricky situation with a driver. Plus, a blissful massage on the premises was the icing on the cake.

This place has it all - a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and a staff that's always willing to lend a helping hand. The breakfast and coffee were top-notch, and the BBQ seafood every night was cooked to perfection. The owner and staff were super accommodating and friendly, making us feel right at home. The only downside was the tricky parking situation, but that's not the hotel's fault.

We had an amazing time at this hotel, thanks to its excellent breakfast and coffee, and the fresh and expertly cooked BBQ seafood every night. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the owner and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The only issue was the busy main road, which made parking a bit of a challenge.
