“Comfortable”
There were food stains in the fridge and it had a bad odor.
“Mauvais rapport qualité/prix + attention taxes supplémentaires”
The location and décor were fine. The price listed on the site didn’t include the daily tourist tax—$35 extra per day, which is unacceptable for the rate already paid and wasn’t mentioned at booking. Parking costs $25 per day: convenient but the lot is tiny, only 10 spots, and you always have to ask reception to open it. The room has central AC that we can’t control; it stayed cold the whole stay.
“The most aesthetic charming hotel.”
The spot was perfect for shopping on Melrose, and the café was excellent, but getting into the parking garage was inconvenient because it’s stairs only, making it hard with roll‑away luggage.
“Love it! Design and location are the best”
I’ve stayed twice this year and love everything—especially the location. The rooms are super clean, the design is appealing, staff are friendly, and the walkable area is full of cafes and shops, which is rare in LA. The bathroom supplies are from Dyptique, and there’s a Nespresso machine in the room—everything I need. The only issue was that the balcony I booked faced a parking lot and another building; I didn’t complain then, but when checking out I asked if all balcony rooms have that view. The best advice is to note in the comments that you want a balcony facing the main street if you want a better view, unless you prefer more privacy. It’s not a disadvantage, just something to remember.
“Welcoming, intimate and relaxing”
I was greeted with a warm and welcoming vibe, stayed in room 105 which was quiet and had a very comfortable bed, and the bathtub was a highlight—perfect for a soak after a hot day. The complimentary pastries and coffee each morning were great for a quick grab and go, and the location is excellent.
