“Perfect, and the history of the inn was a bonus.”
The breakfast is super comfortable and a nice bonus; nothing else to complain about, it was great.
“The accommodation was very cramped for two ladies .TV on wall behind bedhead”
Breakfast was solid, but the room left a lot to be desired.
The staff were amazing—very welcoming and helpful. We had a great view of the river from our balcony, and breakfast was excellent. All rooms were on the upper floors and we had heavy bags, but the staff offered to help. 😊
“An annual pleasure for us.... a comfortable place for us to break our travels.”
We’ve stayed at the Riverview for years when we head up to Queensland to visit family; the spot is perfect with the RSL, Tillys, and the Town Centre nearby and a great boardwalk to see pelicans and wildlife, especially the part that lets you walk through the mangroves fully protected. The stairs can be an issue, but the back ones have a wider step; we always looked forward to free breakfast in our rooms, loving to sit on the balcony and enjoy the views, so we understand why they stopped room service for breakfast because of the weight of trays and the stairs, but it was a real luxury for us.
“The lady filling in at front counter was exceptionally attentive and helpful thank you”
The building’s original state was outstanding, rooms and linens were impeccably clean, and the staff were excellent. No complaints.
