It was so relaxing, I loved the tab element and the great food on site. The walk to the beach was easy, and the nightly 7 pm animal feeding was a highlight. I did feel a bit unsafe because the area was so open, and I left after some beach vendors hassled me heavily and got angry when I refused.

I loved staying among the trees; the cleaners kept the place spotless. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable, and feeding the bush babies was a delightful extra. I had to lock my snacks in a lock box to keep them away from the monkeys, and it would have been nicer if the box opened earlier in the mornings.

The resort offers an inexpensive “hotel” solution made up mainly of tents or stilt houses with shared bathrooms. Located on the inner side of Diani Road, it doesn’t have direct beach access, but you can cross the road through the resort on the other side to reach the sea easily. The stilt house consists of a small room that contains only a double bed and a largely useless bookshelf, plus a lovely terrace with a coffee table, chairs and a small sofa. Despite the beauty of this private open space, it is not very useful because the entire stilt house is surrounded by forest, so it has no sea view and does not receive direct sunlight. The windows, although fitted with metal grilles that effectively keep the (numerous) monkeys in the area out, do not have mosquito nets! Consequently, the room inevitably becomes a trap for many insects (so at night you are protected only by a standard mosquito net for the bed). A nest of wasps that formed in the window frame of the room forced me to coexist with those insects for several hours: then, after finding the staff indifferent, I had to solve the problem on my own… The management recommends storing food and valuables in special free lockers located in a technical room below the reception: that odd request/recommendation seems at least suspicious, given how the rooms are structured, because no small or large animal (meaning monkeys or humans) should be able to enter without the keys…

The treehouse vibe is unique: a one‑of‑a‑kind, charming setup right in the canopy. Waking up to monkeys and being completely surrounded by lush greenery gives a wildlife and nature experience. The atmosphere is quiet and rustic, offering a true escape to disconnect and embrace the coastal bush environment.
