I stumbled upon a stunning little oasis in Sleepy Hollow, Barrydale, where the garden’s labyrinth, birds, nooks, flowers, and old stone walls made for a truly tranquil escape. The accommodation was luxurious, super clean, and welcoming, and Terry delivered an awesome weekend of peace and quiet. It was a mesmerizing find that made me feel rejuvenated and happy—just lovely! The only downside was that the pool was too cold to use.

It was absolutely amazing! We stayed for 3 nights in winter so we had the entire place to ourselves. You book a room or cottage but you get access to a kitchen, living room area, reading room, sauna, pool, etc. it is an oasis in the middle of the karoo and unlike any stay. Terry was fantastic and kind and her breakfasts were legendary! Its clean, cosy and a really nice spot to relax away from the busy city. We didn't have to leave!
