The establishment was very nice, with beautiful rooms and bathrooms, but August isn’t the right time to swim because the beach has sargassum that isn’t cleaned and it’s a bit too isolated.

The place smells really bad and the beach is full of trash; I didn’t stay on the property, they didn’t refund me anything, and I lost my money, yet I left without a bad feeling about the place.

My stay at Mereva Tulum was incredible; I flew from CDMX and noticed the excellent cleanliness everywhere, the room had spectacular sea views that were perfect for relaxing right away, the kayak tour to the nearby reef was a highlight I definitely recommend, the staff were always attentive and friendly, making us feel well taken care of at all times, the restaurant food was exquisite with great presentation and taste, and I also loved the pier massage, a super relaxing experience with the sea sound in the background; although there was a bit of sargassum, the hotel cleans it daily, which is noticeable and appreciated, and I would definitely come back.

The beach is close to the sea, but it’s not very good and you can’t swim.

The entire staff was excellent; I requested decorations for the celebration through booking messages and when we arrived they were amazing, and they brought cocktails to the room to toast the celebration, exceeding my expectations – we will definitely return; the only downside is that sargassum arrives, but that’s not controllable.
