We chose this spot for its location and loved it, but on the second day we were told a party would be held at the lodge and the noise lasted all night, which was terrible for travelers looking for a quiet stay.

Thabang was the most caring and concerned manager I've ever met; he arranged everything and asked if he could help without imposing, keeping our privacy intact. The scenery was beautiful and the hiking options stunning—though some trails were life‑endangering, so avoid the mountain side path and stick to the left side of the river. Overall, a wonderful stay. The only downside was the lack of Wi‑Fi; we could only connect via his phone hotspot, which was so spotty that sending a WhatsApp message took over a minute. We didn't need internet much, so it was acceptable, but be aware.
