It was a different kind of stay, full of character. The location was four bus stops away from town, and we had to ask for help to find the right bus to catch.

The reception ladies were very friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of skincare items on display. The place was a bit far from central Himeji and there were no nearby restaurants.

It would have been great if there was a power outlet next to the pillow on the bed.

The bathroom features a large jet bathtub, which surprised me, and the room itself is spacious. Parking is also generous by Japanese standards. However, this place shouldn’t be called a hotel; it’s more of an adult motel that doesn’t separate smoking from non‑smoking rooms. I was unlucky enough to get a smoking room, which was unpleasant. The so‑called room‑service breakfast is just a cup of tea or instant coffee with a toast or sandwich, which is far less satisfying than a sandwich from 7‑11 and a can of Nestlé coffee.
