Honestly, there was nothing positive; the property was poorly maintained, old, and full of insects, lizards, and mosquitoes—no upkeep at all. It looked like the place was about to close, which was a huge let‑down given the high expectations set by magazine features.

The spot , the people , love the way they set the stay up. Its very close to the beach. Close to all the happening spots in amd around ahangama. The staff were really sweet. Especially Mishika , loved her and everyone who made this stay a memorable one. Definitely clming back here with my friends

The location is nice, just outside Ahangama’s center. The pool is very pretty. The property looks fancy at first glance, but there’s been little to no upkeep. A lot of paint is flaking and some parts have turned black. The manager isn’t present; instead, young guests who speak poor English fill the role. Towels have holes, coffee and tea aren’t refilled, the gutter leaks, there’s no hot water, dirty mugs, and so on. I can keep going. Breakfast is a three‑choice menu, but there’s no coffee, tea, or a good juice; when I mentioned it, the reply was “oh, would you like that?” Every morning I get the same thing… communication is huge but also terrible. For a five‑star hotel at this price, we expected so much more. We’ve stayed in many less luxurious places on our Sri Lanka tour, but the service there was on point. My husband called the manager several times because she promised to come for hot water, but each time there was an excuse (broken hand, doctor, etc.). We couldn’t shower for three days. It’s a shame this complex suffers from bad management. The place is beautiful and has so much potential. While we were there, a couple from New Zealand was also staying; they intended to stay five nights but checked out after two. A Spanish couple also checked out the same day, which says a lot.
