Ca' Gottardi

The location is great—just 2 min to Ca 'Oro Vaporetto Station and 20 min on foot to Marcus Platz. Breakfast offered something for everyone. The staff were very polite and helpful, and every problem got a solution. The waterway right in front of the hotel sounded very loud, and the shower was already a bit worn. The bathroom was a bit flooded after showering.

We loved the overall experience. The building is very beautiful, rooms are well appointed in Venetian style, staff are responsive, clean, and the location is great with easy access from the vaporetto station on the Grand Canal, plus great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Breakfast in the lobby is a bonus. One thing to note: if you have mobility issues, you’ll need to go up a flight of stairs to get into the lobby and rooms, and you’ll cross a few small canal bridges to reach the property. Not a criticism, just a heads‑up if stairs are a problem, but the hotel is well worth the effort.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location in Cannaregio was convenient. The atmosphere was comfortable and the breakfast was good. There are several restaurants nearby. The only issue was the handrail on the hotel’s access stairs.

“Great hotel in a great location”

My husband and I had a great time at Ca’ Gottardi in Venice. The hotel was about a 4‑minute walk from a water bus stop, and we crossed two small bridges, which wasn’t too bad even with heavy luggage. The staff were fantastic, moving most of our suitcases up the stairs in one go. We couldn’t check in early but could leave our bags to explore the city. The room was spacious enough for both of us, and the bathroom was larger than expected with plenty of counter space. The building is on the same street as plenty of shops and two great bakeries. We’d love to stay here again!
