I was already familiar with the place after a visit with my sister a couple of years earlier, so I booked again for my husband's one‑year anniversary and mentioned it. The owner kindly upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost, which surprised and delighted us. The dinner was also very good.

The staff were excellent. We arrived very late and they helped us with everything, even finding us dinner and attending to us very well. The site is beautiful and very original.

The room was fairly spacious and clean, yet the prices were ridiculous—a can cost 1500 FCFA—and the pool was dirty with flies buzzing around.

Notre séjour à la Maison du Bonheur a été tout simplement fantastique, l’établissement regorge de charme avec une multitude de détails uniques et une atmosphère très chaleureuse. Nous avons littéralement adoré la chambre dédiée à Bob Marley. Ce qui a rendu notre séjour vraiment inoubliable, c’est l’accueil si chaleureux et le grand professionnalisme de toute l’équipe : réceptionniste Evine, qui a répondu à toutes nos demandes avec beaucoup de grâce et de sympathie, ainsi qu’Aimé, Kevin et Ousmane, toujours prêts à anticiper nos besoins. Nos compliments vont également au chef Alfonso, un excellent cuisinier qui accompagne ses plats avec autant de chaleur que de bonne humeur. Mention spéciale pour le service de ménage des chambres, effectué chaque jour de manière efficace et impeccable. Nous recommandons la Maison du Bonheur à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience unique au cœur de la paisible île de Ngor.
