How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
We were planning to leave early the next day, and when we saw the room it was clear we’d do it sooner. The Wi‑Fi and TV were dead, the door was dusty, the radiator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, and the whole room needed a fresh coat of paint. The photos on the site were a different room entirely. For 50 € I didn’t expect a pool or jacuzzi, but the room itself was far from the Belgian standard – it felt like a different continent.

The private room upstairs was clean and had a shared kitchen with the room next to us – plenty of space for both of us. But the toilet was busted, and when we got there we were given the wrong code, so we had to stand outside trying to reach the owner. They eventually gave us a code for a different room. Later that evening they called us about being too loud, only to say it was the neighbor’s noise – we hadn’t heard anything from them.

Free parking was a plus, but the place was cramped, the stairs were steep, and it was pretty dirty.

I only needed a place to crash for a single night and checked out early because I had another commitment. The room was clean enough, but the bed was far from comfortable. It was fine for a quick stop, just not a place to relax in.
