I stayed two nights and was honestly let down. The bed’s mattress was sagging and hard, and the size was tiny – it was the worst sleep I’ve ever had. The whole building feels very old and doesn’t match the price at all. Because day‑trippers can use the onsen, after 6 pm the waiting line gets long. The biggest nuisance was that my room’s window faced the parking lot, and an LED light shone into the room all night; the curtains couldn’t block it. The location is good for a base to Wakkanai and Cape Soya, but that alone wasn’t enough to make up for the flaws. I really was disappointed.

I paid the bathing tax, but the sign said “heated water” and there was no information about the onsen’s benefits, so I felt the tax wasn’t worth it at all.

The bath area uses natural hot spring water with a pleasant mineral quality, letting me relax for a long time, and the breakfast was tasty and left me satisfied.

The place offers both a hot spring and a sauna. The only drawback was the abundance of insects in the mountain setting, which made it hard to stay outside; I wish there were an open‑air bath, but the bugs would probably be a problem there too.
