After a long, rainy drive from Pennsylvania to New York with unusually heavy traffic, arriving at a warm and welcoming place was a relief. The front desk person who checked us in was especially friendly and made the process smooth. When we noticed the light in our room wasn’t working, he immediately arranged for someone to fix it, which we really appreciated. The furniture is outdated and visibly worn, and the whole space would benefit from a serious refresh. The bathrooms would be far more practical and easier to maintain if they had walk‑in showers instead of tubs. Unlike the neighboring hotel, this property lacks a covered porch or arrival area, so if you arrive in the rain, your luggage will get wet—an avoidable inconvenience.
