The location was optimal and the restaurants, owned by the same people, were very handy. The room was clean and comfortable. Check‑in starts at 4 pm, so arriving earlier isn’t possible; it would be helpful to have a place to store luggage before 4 pm, but that isn’t a major issue.

The location right of the bridge was great, with beautiful views from outside, a nice big bed, and a clean room. Check‑in was a bit confusing because they own three locations and you have to check in beside Saucy Mary’s, but the guy was very nice and welcoming. We stayed in the Witchwood House, and the twisty staircase with big cases gave us a lot of laughs.

The gentleman at reception went above and beyond—though I’m too tired to recall his name—after a 4‑hour detour via Inverness; a bad accident on the A82 had happened before we reached Skye, yet he reassured us, told us not to worry about the time, and kept us updated by phone. He even bought us sandwiches in case we missed the restaurant’s 10 pm closing, but we arrived just before 9 pm and the kitchen was still open and happy to serve us a meal. All in all, it was worth every penny. If you’re looking for a clean, friendly place to stay as an ideal stop‑over, it also offered a great breakfast menu and I would definitely use it again. The experience was as expected, and compared to the far more expensive places we stayed in, it was perfect for our short visit to Skye.
